Often customers come to us with a requirement like “We want our brand to reach the first page of Google”. Our advice to all those are aiming to get there is “Good SEO work only gets better with time”.


There are 3P’s to any SEO marketing effort – Patience, Perseverance and Prudence. Being on the top is just a temporary phase in SEO because you have a shifting target. You have to keep following it with judiciousness and caution as the key to stay on top.


SEO is the process of improvising and customizing your website to escalate its rankings on the search engine result pages taking into consideration the various components involved in the search engine’s algorithm.



Each webpage is a stop in the big city of the World Wide Web. The Search Engine bus finds all these stops and travels (or Crawls) through these stops along their way. They use specialized programs called spiders to do this crawling. They later use their monstrous storage to store information about these stops they have made, called indexing.


When a person searches for something using the search engines, this indexed data is scoured to give the answers. The answers depend on RELEVANCE and IMPORTANCE. How well the webpage ‘answers the question posted’ is relevance. Importance is determined by how popular the webpage is. Relevance and importance are determined by complex mathematical algorithms comprising of hundreds of components.


Now, you would think the job is done by learning to tackle these algorithms. But Google constantly updates, edits and changes its algorithms to give its users credible and better results. Google came up with Panda in 2011, Penguin in 2012 and Hummingbird in 2013. There have been other minor updates time and again from Google. 2015 has got us Quality or Phantom updates by Google. Proactive SEO efforts are the only way to stay on top in changing times.


Google’s Panda, Penguin and Hummingbird updates gives us an inkling of the roadmap. Surviving Panda requires to get rid of low quality pages, content and keywords. Penguin survival is about avoiding excessive link building, keyword stuffing and irrelevant content. Hummingbird is the answer to comparison and location based results. 2015 again brings talks of link building as a strategy to SEO results. Quality updates are yet to be understood.


Building a valuable website with your customers’ needs in mind and getting it to them through as many methods as possible is the way for your business forward. Though there are millions of website providers around the world, integrated digital solutions tailored to businesses are very few.
